It’s a shore thing we aren’t coming home for a while 🇲🇽🏖

Well, where do we start! Mexico is BEAUTIFUL!

Situated around 30 minutes south of Cancun stands the Riveria Maya – our home for the week. This was never going to be the most action packed week of our trip, especially being at an all inclusive hotel (whoops), so apologies for a slightly less interesting post, however, our time here has been amazing nonetheless. Our hotel is located right along the beach, featuring a restaurant with beautiful views and an infinity pool overlooking the sea. We decided to take these 6 days as a chance to really relax before we begin our non-stop trip across the United States and Canada!

When we first arrived in Mexico it was dark and rainy so we weren’t able to really appreciate the spectacular views from our room. However, due to our jet lag we were up at the crack of dawn the following morning, giving us the chance to watch the sunrise – it was incredible! We decided from that day on, we would make the effort to get up early and watch the sunrise.

Where our hotel was located was quite secluded and quite a distance to all the tourist hotspots, so we made the decision to just stay local and enjoy what the Riviera Maya had to offer. A lot of time was spent sunbathing by the pool or on the roof terrace, going for a dip in the jacuzzi occasionally. On one of our few trips away from the hotel grounds, we decided to take a dip in the VERY choppy sea. What a blast!! The use of our Go Pro has provided us with some very entertaining shots of us swimming drowning in the shallow waters of the Caribbean sea!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Mexico, indulging in the luxuries of an all inclusive resort – the perfect place to just do nothing for a few days.

It is time for us to depart South America and head for The States. New York we’re coming for you. Updates to follow… 🗽🇺🇸
